First Eucharist, First Reconciliation & Confirmation:

A few years ago St Alphonsus designed a unique process in order to prepare the children for the above mentioned sacraments. The foundation of this process is the parish seeing itself as the sponsoring body for the children  At the same time the parish co-operates closely with both the parents and the school. A sacramental Catechetical Team was set up to organize and facilitate the sacramental process. A letter is mailed out to the parents in the fall giving the details and the rituals and dates for the various happenings. Finally, on Pentecost Sunday the whole parish is invited to come together as one and honor all the children who have celebrated the various sacraments.

Public School:

Children attending public school can obtain catechetical instruction by way of a correspondence course. Information may be obtained by calling the parish office.
