St. Alphonsus Health Ministry:
Our Parish has a special ministry under the auspices of Parish Nursing and is sustained and promoted by our Health Cabinet. The Mission Statement of the Health Cabinet is as follows:
“ Following the Ministry of Jesus, we are called to promote the Church as a place of wholeness and healing and to empower people to take control of their lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually.”
We believe it is not just the soul that goes to Church and the body that goes to the doctor while the mind goes to work and school. Rather, Church is a place to foster wholeness and healing of the body, mind and spirit.
Our Parish Nurse brings medical training to the service of the Parish but with a spiritual component. She empowers the whole community to reach out to one another with love and companionship using all our abundant ways to heal, believing that body, mind, and spirit are one. Modern day parish communities need to bridge the distance between one another and together become a place of healing as we journey together to wholeness.
Health Ministry Meeting 3rd Monday of every month 7 p.m. New members welcome!
Blood Pressure Clinics First weekend of every month (except July and August) after all Masses on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Please use this time to consult our nurses with any health concerns.
